So people what is your dizzy set to as i've just pulled mine out and just wondered how much more i could retard things.

just out of interest whats a standard Metro turbo run as well??

mine is set to about 8 at idel rising to 16 by 3000 rpm

but that is neither ideal nor desiered!!!!

No - i meant Will has posted his advance figure Eleven times.
Reality is that this is total pie-in-the-sky. Your cam timing, CR, chamber/piston shape, boost, fuel, etc all affect the advance - and of course the accuracy of your TDC mark...
Engine or chassis dyno is the only way to find out what is best for your engine...
Whatever anyone on here posts is irrelevant

vaguely remember something dave vizard said along the lines of you want to run 36 degrees advance all in by 3000rpm.To get this you open up your dizzy and the base plate has a number on it,which is the amount of mechanical advance the dizzy has.Take this number and add to it the psi you run on full boost (i.e. if you run 15 psi and your dizzy base plate says 10 then that's 25) and then subtract this no. from 36 to get the amount of advance to dial in ,in this case 11 degrees (36-25=11)
not spot on but usually pretty close and like dave says, every engine is different and only a rolling rd gets it right

if this is wrong then sorry, but it's how i set mine up
