I have a collection of 940 cylinder heads and there seems to be a substantial difference in head thickness between them.
These heads have been aquired over a period of time and the history of some of them is quite vague.
There are 2 Mk3 S heads and the rest came from Mini's, Metro's, and Maestro's.
Does anyone know what the thickness of the 940 should be?
Did it vary from one application to another ie HC & LC variants.
I was under the impression that the CR was altered by the Pistons.
I am sure some of the heads have not been skimmed but the different thicknesses seem unusual to say the least.
Regards
Dave
