Can turbo box being welded while engine is in car, cylinder head and exhaust mainfold removed?

probably... but you risk getting sparks and grinding dust in the engine!

Not to metion you make the job twice as hard as needed!

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

it can also be done with everything in, you could weld it from the back....

top seam would have to be done from the front but would be fairly straight forward with everything in.

Not the easiest option mind, especially when a good hour's work gets the engine out easy enough.

last thing you want to do is set fire to the remaining petrol etc etc....
