Hi All,

I have a problem with the rod change and the exhaust rubbing together under the car. I have attached some photos to give you some idea. I wonder if any of you have incountered the same problem and how you got around it?8)

Twist the downpipe where it meets the turbo to move it away from the rod change.

like tom says twist it at the turbo,

But if you think thats tight........ I've just been trying to run the same exhaust past a remote housing in a mk1, tighter than a gnats chuff!

I'll post some pics tomorow night, I have also made a suport bracket that bolts to the diff*wink*

as promised heres some pics, note the dif housing to exhaust bracket,

I have used an old bracket bolted to the diff that i found lying around, to this i have bolted a choped up bit of A+ alternator bracket, and to that i have welded an exhaust clamp.

the down pipe is of course custom, so ignore this.

Thanks guys for the valuble information. Its so hard when you have just got back from travelling the world to get back into it. I just happened to over look the ovious!
Are you guys off to mini in the park?

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

had the same problem paul its that dam nuckle joint

i spraged it into place and welded the bugger, easy way out ...job done!
