as the item says this is not a bleed valve it is a pressure relief valve which is better because it holds the pressure to the preset value then releases it unlike a bleed valve which takes pressure from the wastegate actuator which can lead to it opening earlier than the pressure which is desired so the turbo is not working as efficiently as it should do. |

i know i read it, but what im asking is, Is it better than the satndard type of MBC? (ie bacc and spring type)

from my knowledge of pneumatics this valve is speed control valve for controling pneumatic cylinders. It has adjustable flow restrictor in one direction and freeflow in the other. My opinion is that it is better than a bleed valve but not as good as a pressure relief valve for controlling the boost. Hope this helps n.g.l. |

There is a place in Crewe (where I live) that sells these valves for about a tenner.

When I started thinking about it, that's where I got to. one solution that I can think of is using a bleed valve in front of the MBC.
