I tried to get one of those out once. I gave up and just stuck in a tight fitting bit of steel tube.

the problem is the outer part of the bush is quite thin so its tricky to get a purchace on it.

Rag all the rubber part out, then slit the metal sleeve with a junior hacksaw blade, then it will come out.

Yeah its really thin, ive tried heating it and drifting it out with a socket but it just seems to mash it up. I have three geaboxes, two of them have these bushes in them, but the one thats actually on the car doesnt have the bush in it thanks to the previous owner.

Was just trying to take it out of one of the boxes im not going to use and try it in the one thats on the car but it dont seem to want to come out!!

Dont suppose you can get one of these from a decent motor factor? Or will I have to get one from spares and wait for a couple of years?!
