Just got back from the rollers and it all went fine.

My misfire was being caused by massive overfuelling as it came on boost but thats sorted now. pulls hard.

Only issue i have is that i couldnt get over 14psi of boost.

Place where i take it has migs etc on all the time, i'm getting about 50% more than a mid range one of those is pulling.

proof is in the pudding, we'll see how it goes at avon.

He was very impressed with the power compared to how little boost it was running though, so was i!

Lets hope it lasts the weekend and there is some dry tarmac!!!!!

to be honest i dont know if i believe the rollers as its seems high for the boost, BUT i've known a lot of cars go on those rollers and they are spot on for what they should be.

180 banana's at 14psi was the figure, may squeeze some more boost out of it over the weekend by winding in the actuator and playing with a few bits but its a trade off of havving low boost to launch and then enough to pull the top end.

i'm running a 3.9 to about 7500rpm so i think i may run out of rev's yet.

its in a miglia, engine spec is pretty exhuastive but basically metro turbo challenge top and bottom end, mirage manifolds and t25, su carb and emerald ignition, cossie 4x4 intercooler

7500 in fourth is 108 mph, as long as you have 1:1 drops and 165/70-10 tires. You should just be alright I guess!

Friday the 13th is certainly not lucky.

Got as far as leicester and the oil ight on the tow car come on. so had to be towed home.

Instead of running up the big black stufftoday, i' driving to leicester with another car and trailer to fetch the tow car as we managed to get the mini and trailer home.

ARSE!

Not sure if i'm coming to avon or not at this point in time, most likely the mini wont be coming as i have nothing to tow with, and also looks like rain tomorrow so pointless taking it.

Well engine is out the van now, looks like it dropped a rod shell! arse!

It was that noisy on the side of the M1 it was hard to hear how bad it was!!

the garage said he never heard anything so noisy!!

its a 90k 1.7td astra that has been serviced on the dot all its life and had it really easy as my dad doesnt go above 60!

Just glad i wasnt revving the knackers off it when it went otherwise i'd feel guilty!

Sorry to hear that, typical for it to let go so close to avon. Hope its all sorted soon.
