I want to fit a wide arch body kit to my classic round nose, I was seriously considering either a Minicos or Fortec from autofashion but have just been reading posts on another forum site which included posts from guys on here saying that they were not very good (understatement)

My question is this, does anyone know of another manufacturer of these types of kit?

I am trying to build a turbo powered speedster but want a blended full kit to cover my 7x13's. I do like the Zeemax kit but was thinking a little more extreme (and not as expensive)!

The other route would be to buy some foam and design my own, has anyone else done or know someone that has done this before?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Dave

if you are building a custom speedster if you have the skills then build your own kit, it'll keep it individual and it'll stand out form the crowd even more.

true.... Not sure exactly how to go about it though, I remember bits from TV and stuff, I know to attach foam, carve it etc, but don't know how to make it a permanent fixture using fibreglass. Could do without the agro of making moulds, I don't have the space in my garage, it is full of mini!

Don't forget that when u fit these bodykits with wide arches, that you need even bigger wheels to fill them, then you run into problems with steering, i.e there is no full lock as the wheel touches the inner arch.

Majic: I already have 13x7's fitted and have done the modifications to the arches required. These rims do not touch the inner arch at all. That is why I was looking at the kits that I mentioned, the cas kit was designed around 13x7 wheels running discs and spacered drums.
I am not building a racing car, I am building a car that is individual, the turbo engine is more for the sound than the speed. I can honestly say that I have never seen a mini speedster with a wide arch kit anywhere in real life, I am sure there are others, but not near where I live.

I know that kit looks fantastic, just a bit worried about some of the things I have read about Autofashion, the suppliers of the kit.

still reckon you should try custom building, it'll be more effort but it will be worth it in the end
