i was looking at mini pistons for the 998 whilst searching for some other pistons for my dads car

do the rings have an affect on the compression? i thought it was to do with the dish in the piston?

I dont think the rings would have much to with the compression. There is a slight gap between to the top ring and the top of the piston all the way around. I always assumed it was dish and the combustion chamber. 1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

thats what i'm reading everywhere i'm chking, just thought it was strange as they were the same pistons i was looking at just differant years of A+ engine, my local place has them at a reasonable price so gonna pic some up for the engine thats coming out of the car, do it when ya can & enjoy it i say!
