Well Break Mean Effective Presure (cylinder of course) is what creats the turning force or torque... so yes it is most important...

and I thought I'd just be a sad case again :op

Surely a good lap time would be a test of a well balanced all round car. It would test the whole package, brakes, mid range torque ,bhp and all important driver capability. Cadwell park would be a good test cicuit for example.

But Mark the hoarder has proven time and time again that a bad driver doesn't make a good car quick!

What about power to weight ratio. I think that is very important.

I think the most important question is:

"Does it pull the Birds?"

Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Kent/Surrey Borders

all i want is a car that will get about to 70 as quik as possible

I never really speed i mean more than 70

I just wanna blast round the country lanes obliterating the opposition ....

So i guess i am after a 0-60 .... which is superb

Got 5.97 from my Anglia ( which is now dead )
next best was 6.7 with a supercharged rover v8 in a 53 POP

Dunno what to expect from my mini ; do you thing 7s is achiavebale with Standard metro set up + bleed valve + nice exhaust and Air filter + excort Intercooler ... say risking no more than 8 PSI ?
