i spent abit of time at home lately, so i have sold quite a bit of my mini parts, the price royal mail charges, with strikes and late delivery both sending and receving its seems a bit mutch, my royal mail cost in the last 3 weeks is nearly £90,of which one item took 9 days to deliver, but in buying a sand blast tank, paying by paypal at 2pm the goods arived at 4pm the next day cost to me was £20, this was a large item i thought this was quick today i posted a parcel to liverpool to a member of tm, cost £8.50 this parcell was not much bigger than a shoe box so it will be intresting to see when jordan get this, what other ways can we send goods

is that comapny 'postvan' still going? They seemed to have reasonable reviews for bigger stuff.

Used PostVan once to send a set of wheels. Seem quite good.

Royal Mail can be handy for small light stuff. But for everything else, go private.

Of course, some places just want to ripp people off with postage charges.

I was recently quoted £35 to post 2 protective wing covers from an ebay seller.

I did inform him that I only lived in Northern Ireland, not Australia

Managed to buy 2 of the same item, delivered and all, for less than their postage quote.

I was quoted 45 quid postage for an EDIS unit of ebay earlier in the week... Last time I bought one the postage seemed to be around 11...I asked him if he was taking the piss, didnt get an answer..:)

Aye, postage on ebay is a well known way to skim a little extra money off the top!
Mind you I had one guy after me a while back- I was selling several lots of 2CV components, each with postage of about 5-9 quid (which is correct if they're gonna be seperately posted). In the end one guy bought them all, so I packaged em together as much as I could and charged him only for that postage (came to about 17 quid instead of 30 odd for seperate posting). He then had the cheek to insinuate I over charged him because I quoted £9 for one of the lots!
To be fair that was sorted out amicably, but it makes ya think!

Sent quite a bit of stuff with them and its all been good so far.

Sent one set of manifolds to Canada on standard 4-5 day service and it was delivered next day !! all fully tracked.
