move the mounts, simple! *smiley*

You can use a van heater, thats a direct fit. Or ditch the heater, thats what ive done before and will again.

hang it on cable ties off the underside of the dash rails/supports

Or buy a heater from an old mini van

If you decide to ditch the heater but still want the cooling benifits run the pipes to another radiator ..........If youve got room of course.

My plan was to make some new rear brakets for it then use Cable ties but i decided against this as it was a bit too Amatuerish but seeing as almost everyone else has done this i think i will *smiley*

what about reverse lights? Are they a "must" for an MOT? I have fitted BMW mini rear clusters to my round nose, they don't have reverse lights built in but do have fog lights!

my mini was built with any reverse lights.... in fact niether of them were. If they're fitted they must work.

As for a heater, not an mot requirement.

No if you dont have them, they arnt a failure. I dont have one as my mini has mk1 back lights (fitted adapter plates in there).

reverse light's are not part of the mot they are the only light's that if fitted and dont work that will not cause a fail other than spots *wink*

Oh and run a heater it's worth it for the extra pint or so of water in the cooling system in my opinion *smiley*

he heeeee, well pleased, my back end will be smoooooth! No extra stuff bolted on.

When I put my heater back in, I made a piece of sheet steel, bent it over the inside of the dash where the wiring loom used to go through and drilled a hole in each side where the factory bolt through the heater needed to be. It is rock sold. Am still thinking about rotating the heater matrix 180 degrees so that I have a bit more clearance for the pedals.

My Mk2 has the heater pipes on the left side, loads more room by the pedals than on my old MK4 car.

Get an early heater (if you can find a good one!) or flip the matrix. Well worth it!
