exhaust link pipe

hey guys,

Am i missing somthing here or what ?

i bought a 2" twin dtm pipe for the turbo and when coming to fit the link pipe to the turbo down pipe the 2 pipes are the same width ?

do i need a specific link pipe for it or a speacial clamp of some sort ?

bit stuck here..

i had a similar problem. obviously not the same problem as i wouldnt have a DTM. lol

the down pipe i assume is Maniflow and the link pipe and back box are playmini or whatever.

solution 1
buy a maniflow centre pipe (they have crap looking bends and i would never have one) and maniflow back box

solution 2
i butt welded the two together so dont have a problem scraping the clamp on speed bumps

solution 3
go to kwik fit and rumage through the scrap bin, find a old bit of pipe just larger and use it as a sleeve with 2 clamps. if you do this at night the pipe can cost you less.

most kwik fit type places will have a pipe expander they use with the whizzy gun, they can stretch the end of your link pipe to fit snug over your downpipe

you can buy specific clamps that make a really good seal when butt joining exhaust sections together. Fitted one on a mates car yesterday!

1/4mile in 13.2sec @ 111 terminal on 15psi

i went to kwik fit and got a link pipe that clamps over the 2 pipes and tightens up using bolts

works a treat
