would 13 inch wheels affect my 60ft times

just thinking, and a bit of a daft question and i know i need lots of practice at drag racing im rubbish at starts.

well last avon my fastest 1/4 mile was 14.58 secs with a 60ft of 2.263 secs this was with 10 inch wheels.

this avon my fastest was 14.68 secs but with a 60ft of 2.692 secs but with 13inch wheels

so if 13s dont make your car slower 60ft and it was down to my poor driving then obviously i could have got a better time than last year?

right or wrong?

not sure mate never run on 13s, but "secs with a 60ft of 2.263 secs this was with 10 inch wheels" hell bud that is a good 60 ft time! well i would be over the moon with it anyway

On 165/60x13 Goodyear NCT2's I did a 2.63 sec 60 ft on my 14.5 run back in 1994.

Finding any traction was difficult lol

202mph standing mile
speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

I think it's a good point, the 2.2 on road tyres is a bloody good time, I only managed it once on slicks.

i have to say that russel and i found the grip poor this year to put it mildly.

Im embarrised I only managed a 2.7 on 10s.

I found letting yours tyres down does help ALOT (only found this out on my last run!!), because of the low proile tyres fitted to 13's I wouldn't think it would have the same effect as with 10's due to the extra strength added to the side walls.

1/4mile in 13.2sec @ 111 terminal on 15psi

i got better 60ft times on my 13's than on my 10's, was getting 2.3/2.4 on 13's and i think 2.6 on 10's.

think pattern and softness of the tire would influence more than the size itself?
