Hi everyone,
just a query really but is any one running a digi dash?

Are they easy to plumb in?

Ive got me eye on the ETB DDR-Lite dash. Looks the dogs and got every warning light possible built in. 400 quid though. A bit of saving up to do if i am to get it

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

i've got an acewell 3150 i think it is to fit this winter. maybe sooner but i doubt it! lol!

it was £150 so a lot cheaper and will do basically the same stuff.

probably not as easy to read but end of the day most of my gauges i dont need to look at.

Just looked at them on a website i cannot name cause tom and alex might shout (16vminishop.co.uk) and had a look at their clocks.

What are the sizes Iain of yours?

I dont want it to look tiny on my dash.

probably about 5" wide and 4" tall.

its not that big but suits my pod that comes off the dash and gives me space for a couple of extra gauges.

nope, its not winter yet *happy*
but to be honest its very straight forward. hardest bit is figuring out somewhere for a wheel speed sensor.

I like nice quiet girly Minis

Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

Whilst I think there is nothing wrong with the AceWell stuff in general I have a concern about what they will be like to view in bright sunshine as the display doen't seem to have a lot of contrast. I would suggest that the best bet is to shroud it so it isn't exposed directly to dright sunshine.
It might be ok as it was originally intended to be fitted to bikes etc.

I have the original DigiDash built into the dash on my kit (what's left of it) and it was a brilliant bit of kit and never caused me any viewing problems, even unshrouded, in an open cockpit car.

Just something to bear in mind though is the extra features that the digidash offers.
Ok a lot of people will have data logging via their ECU (MS or VEMS for example) so that is off limited use.
The features I like are based around the GPS and timing. Stand alone lap timing equipement is going to cost about twice that for the DigiDash. There is also the option of camera detection via GPS (how many people with a quick Mini / kitcar have a 12V / cigi lighter socket in their dash??).

The shift light system is also brilliant with the staged lights, again a fair few will have shift lights from the ECU but this system really catches your eye.

At the end of the day the one you go for will depend on your needs and wallet but I can personally recomend the DigiDash .... sure the DD2 Lite is going to be as good.

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...
