hi

i want to play a game on my pc but i think the processor is not high enough.

how easy is it to install a new processor?
will i lose everything on my pc?
how much money am i looking at for a decent one?

its pretty easy to install a new processor - yuo shouldnt lose your info given thats stored on the hard disk not the processor, but you may also need to upgrade your motherboard and ram dependant on how old your system is and compatability with the new hardware. how much it will cost is more how much are you willing to pay? price is a big range. what performance are you looking for from it?

i want a processor that can play a game that requires 1.4GHz
so maybe a bit bigger than that just to make sure!! lol
the graphics gard is a good one, well it was about 2 years ago!! lol
i havent got a cle when it come to pc's realy, iv maged to install a grapics card and a sound card before.
do you think i should be able to fit a processor myself?

If you changing your motherboard & processor, you would normally format the hard drive. Different chipsets will require different drivers, which windows needs to install. Back everything up on disks which ever route you take.
Nowadays its problably just as cheap to buy a new pc than building one. Heard good things about Dell.
The pcworld ones I've found are abit crap.

i think i will just get in touch with my computor man then! lol
he built this one about 5 years ago now so ill see if he can up date it.
hes a good friend of my dads anyway.

if you do decide to get a dell one make sure you get the extended warranty - the normal one only lasts 3 months
