Is it OK to reface the tip of the valve stems? Are they surface hardened ?

according to Paul ivey, [ rimflo valves], yes they are hardened on the tips, but i casnnot see why they could not be flashed over to clear up.it can only be a few 0.000s at most surely,

I ALWAYS reface the valve stem tip when servicing valves. Alway reface them so they are flat. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:
Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem. |
