leeds/wakefield.

try a si have i cannot fully understand all the numbers. and 125 terminal in 12.8 , , the time is a go'er, but the terminal is far too high for the power verses drag ,

and the rpms seem to be all over the place,

how do you know what FD we are using to quote these rpm sites.??.

i'm sure it works fairly accurately but without all the relevent info it cannot be for the Don,
would you like all the proper info to try, ?.

deduction lol
i guessed at a 3.44 and made the power 250.. i think it should make around 320 with the right turbo etc on it ,but thought 250 a good bet in current spec .
not to be taken too seriously carl just a bit of fun using my drag on my mini and yuor weight and power and a slow 60 ft .
be intersting to see how it matches in time .

Going through the actual time slips for the weekend, the best time of 13.30 sec was with a pretty appauling 60ft time of 2.542 sec.
However my best 60ft time of the weekend was a 2.272 sec, some 0.27 sec quicker. So theoretically if the 60ft time can be achieved, there is 0.27 sec to come off the 13.30, so there is a low 13.0sec pass in there already.
However you must remember all this was using 10 year old A008's, hardly the best for ultimate traction! In addition only about 11psi boost, whereas we were running 18 psi to achieve the 220bhp on the rolling road.

Plenty of variables really, looking forward to MITP to see what the DON can really do, as Saturday at Avon was most definately a setting up and learning day.

Interesting numbers robert, but as Carl says the stumbling block is the 125mph over the line; the car has a 3.9 final drive in it, my fastest terminal speed at 113.8mph was something like 8500rpm as I glanced at the tacho before backing out, so it simply doesn't have the gearing to achieve the terminal speeds, although the 13" wheels we have to try at some point will add a little to the gearing.

good attitude tom , sounds like if your on the line at 113 at 8500 on a bad run , a 3.44 may be a step to a faster time ,but as you say ,all learning was lmited by the blimmen rain on sunday !

13's with road tyres (A048's or similar) will give you 15mph per 1000rpm on a 3.9 so theres potential to pull 135mph there.

leeds/wakefield.

dependant on tyre pressure and therefore rolling radius.
