scisor ball joint splitterall others are useless., piece of cake. had a hub off today to replace the wheel bearing, took 30 mins all in, from jacking the car up to lowering it back down.

Never had a problem with a fork type myself. Had the luxury of a good quality scissor type and an air gun a while back, that did make life alot easier.

Mine tend come off easily as i dont do mega miles between splits.

Once had a moment of muppetry years ago and greased the tapers, a big NO NO!!..could'nt get the fooking nut off the next time i split the thing, it just span!!..we live and learn.!!

Fork types I have had no luck with at all
the one you get your ratchet on with the bolt that supposed to sit nicely onto the ball joint and push it out - Absolute BOLLOX

only the hammer and Jack teqnique has ever worked for me

I will now go buy the scissor type splitter as you all seem to have had some success !!

Allways find leaving a bit of WD to soak in works a treat, especially the top one as it can get right in there.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Well just to piss you off a bit, i removed two hubs, seperated driveshafts, removed those buts, took callipers off and packed them off into a happy customers car tonight all in 20mins! lol!

sykes pickavant sisscor splitter and an impact air gun!

Easy peasy!

Also much easier to remove the disc if you can easier to get into the joints.

Ive had cup and sisscor splitters and would only ever use my scissor one.

ps must learn to spell!!
