KAD say the following right next to the photo:

"Where a restriction in steering lock is desired, these simple nylon collars slip over the end of the rack limiting movement. Simple to fit, uses would include preventing 13” wheels fouling wheel arches, saving CV ’s in rally or grass track cars or with 6 pot calipers."

"Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun"

"did you know you can toast potato waffles?"

why do you need 2.2 turns?

2.2 turns is the same as the quickracks fitted to the sportpacks. i'm guessing you're thinking of this because you dont want to fork out for the quickrack - they limit it enough to stop the 13s fouling, but not sure if its 2.2turns, may be slightly different either way. what is it you are needing to achieve?

Mark, Fitting the spacers to reduce the travel of the rack will not give you a quick rack. It's just the same as you turning the steering wheel less than you normally would. All you will achieve is a greater turning circle for your car.
A quick rack will give you the SAME wheel turn for LESS steering wheel input.
The spacers will give you LESS wheel turn for LESS steering input.
The spacers are of use to prevent oversize wheels fouling the inner arch but not much else.

Dave

If you are having problems with 13" wheels fouling the inner arch then these spacers are great. Easy to fint and do what they say on the tin.

As Danboy says though they don't affect the ratio of the rack just the maximum lock.

the above is absolutely nothing at all, in the slightest, ever, to do with a 2.2 lock to lock quick rack.

all it will do is stop you achieving full lock, not get there quicker

lol il explain for you bud - the quick rack has a diiferent ratio to standard so your wheels will turn almost as far as the normal rack - when fitting the shims to the normal rack you are reducing the amount your wheels can turn
