thanks everyone, i was told it's a great reliable engine as long as i don't go mad. it's my everyday car so i need it to be reliable. it's on hydraulics not airbags so i still get the great mini handling as it still has the rubber cones. if you see me at any shows come over and i'll show you how they work, it's so basic |

Why 998 Turbo? It will not be any more reliable, Your right foot will determine this.

well i'm on a budget and i have already sorted a T2 turbo for it, i don't want loads of power i just want to be able to keep up with the rest of our club on the motorways. poor old 998 has to drag so much weight. the wheels would give some of you heart attacks as they weigh 3 stone each!! and the full back seat install isn't light lol |

regretably, there isn't really a cheap way to turbo a mini. And 'charging a 1275/1293 will cost the same as a 998.
