my engines in! cant talk, gotta go do my wiring loom!

woohoo!

welded the turbo box in 1/2 an inch lower following the FAQ advice. Also hit the bulkhead a few times and carb now doesnt touch with the heat sheild on.

Made another heat shield at the back of the turbo box after painting and sealing it using a ford escort 1.6 exhaust bottom shield. looks really good.

im well chuffed. also picked my dump valve up from a guy i met on ebay last night in shipley, 22.50 and its mint, its a forge one. ive just hooked it up.

waiting on hubs back from garage now with new wheel bearings and ball joints on, and need some intercooler pipes - - IAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN get your ass into gear!

I have so much on at the moment, and also no money! im in the middle of changing jobs to work at a tool shop rather than cartridge world, im bored of there now, ive worked there over a year. My girlfriends given up hope, shes realised she comes 2nd at a time like this! shes also got a kid, but its not mine so i dont have to worry about that!

aims for tomorow are to get the bottom mounts in, get the driveshafts in and finish off my wiring loom, you dont want to see my custom dash wiring its all over the place, but it works! took my about a full day to do it all, all smiths clocks.

I love my pulley system for lifting engines!

I need the intercooler from jim, a 50mm dump valve fitting pipe from forge and some piping, a choke cable and oldschool smiths speedo cable!

im also doing some menus for a local cafe, i do graphic design at college so ive spent a long time doing them to a high standard, i was expecting 10-20 quid, havent cost me owt as i get my cartridges free, but i took them into the cafe today, and he said heres 60 quid, get me 12 printed for tomorow!!!! took them into another cafe tonite in the village and already got myself another menu job! hoping that will cover my intercooler pipes as im skinted! u priced them up yet?

not to mention, ive also got potentially 120 tied up in the engine im trying to sell in the for sale section, ive give them 60 quid so far but ive used all my low milage bits to make it comeplete from my last engine that the bottom end went on (stripped it tonite, you should have seen the wear LOL) if i can sell it for anything over 60 quid at least i can get some of my money back, then return the other bits of the engine other than the block and gearbox (which should be worth less than that anyway!)

wont be long, im going to get the thing bolted in firm tonite and do all the little bits. will try get exhaust on, but im not sure how to put it back togehter. I dont get how the clamp holds the downpipe to the manifold, and also do i fill the gap wiht exahust paste?

I used jointing compound on the manifold connection

it is a complete bastad to put on , I would say impossible by yourslef !!

MIG the bolts onto the bracket before you even try ,

I was tempted to make two hole in my bulkhead box to tighten the clamp coz it is so Cramped
