So I'm on the process of turboing my 998 daily hack. Not doing too bad so far, I've made all the bits like actuator brackets and breathers (not easy on the 998).

I should have it running next week ..... but, the intercooler I have is just too big and not worth the hassle of fitting. Its a 2wd Cosworth one. I know it can fit, but it's not necessary (only running 5 or 6 psi) and I reckon a better fitting intercooler properly in the airflow will be better.

Remember this is a daily drive so it's all steel, and all things like servos and air pipes have to stay.

A series 2 RST one look like a good size and I know Roberts fiesta TD one fits well.
(edit: a series 1 looks even better)

All advice/pictures welcome. I have searched and not found what I wanted.

Cheers

Wil

S2 RST all the way. A Very efficient intercooler for its very compact size.

i had a figure or 175 @ fly @ 20 psi.

So like you i think they are a cracking good for the size. I changed the intercooler because i thought i should AND NOT beacuse i had to, back them i didn't measure things, it was all a guess.

Near Daventry, midlands

i've got a rst one for my m8's charged 998 and have to say its pretty good fit and the outlet at the top is angled very nicely for getting pipes up to the back.

I've seen the future and tbh its Pie

I've got a S2 RS and it dimensions up really well over the clutch housing as miniwilliams says.I reckon it will get some airflow without mods to the bonnet too.

It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt... Then it's hilarious!

I was gonna put mine directly behind the bonnet and cut holes int eh bonnet but im not so sure now that you guys are putting them near the clutch housing. Hmmmm.
