The Boom Boom speaker Police!

I was told buy a reputable mini nut, that you can fit front hi-lo's without using a cone compressor.

Any idea how you would do this?

In the 13's at last!.. Just

possibly with very old sagging cones, but not with new ones or coil springs.

actually just re-read your first post, you can fit front hi'lo's without a compressor, the trouble comes when you have to remove the old setup before lol

Ive done it, you just have to remove the top arm... its not easy but it is possible.

no it should be quite easy still.

Just keep the arm in place so its straight then pull out, the arm will drop removing the cone.

I did it with an old cone when the thread striped so I couldn't use the compressor. I cut part way through the trumpet then chiseled it a bit until it colapsed. Maybe not the safest but as I say my cones were pretty old and had sagged.
