Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Ive only got the wastegate housing to refit to my turbo, there didnt appear to be a seal between it and the turbo, is this right? what do people use?

Obviously there is the one on the exhaust elbow.

Will paste do the job as it looks a good machined finish or should i just leave it?

Last bit ive got left to do now!

you mean between the core and turbine housing??? You just assemble it as it is - with coppergrease on the threads!

err yeah i reckon mate, ill get a pic if i can, didnt think there was though.

Yeah copper grease will be applied, along with new studs, or bolts if i cant get the studs.

there is a much better thread grease available called neversieze. the one to look out for is the "nuclear grade" which can take temps of upto 1000 degrees F.

might have to see if we use it at work, building gas turbines gets things hot! lol!

think we use a rocal product.

the garrett i work for is normalair garrett, and we make hot air and cold air turbines for the aircraft industry.

well its going on tonight so it best seal! Been wandering round work for ages looking for bolts!
