Well after finally getting a rot box lol, im ready to start stripping down.

My question is whats the best way of moving the shell around when doing sills etc?

Ive got an old matress which i could simply tip the shell onto? would be ideal for doing the sills?

I just dont wanna fork out for a jig

in addition could i make a trolley, say out of inch thick block board with trolley wheels on to roll the shell around

a jig is the best for turning the car over and moving it about but they do cost.

the matress is a comonly used method but be careful when welding

if your just after a trolly, try going to the back of a supermarket and get one of those 6ft high cage things on wheels, then remove the sides, saves making one

Rather than a mattress I used half a dozen old tyres, as they don't catch fire as easily.

My jig is made up of bits of old steel begged, borrowed and left over and a few hours with a mig welder.

Wouldn't be with out it as it makes everything so much easier and holds the geometry in place when doing heal / toe boards .... castors off an old display board from work I think ..LOL

Edited to almost make sense .... shouldn't post after 15 hours of working on a kitchen and a creat of beer!!
