I used to play around with superchargers in my Mini before I bought MOT... The link to eBay is not working anymore, so I would like to see some pictures! What kind of charger are we talking about?? A couple of mini-freaks in Norway are putting their chargers in the front...such-through and it works perfectly! But its a smaller charger than the M45. This one gives 0,8 bar:

Have you got the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line connected so that it will overcome the pressure from the blower whilst cranking? Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."

the engine came with a sealed type carb but it kept flooding even with a new needle valve assembly in. with just the ignition on it was pumping fuel tho the jet like there was not a valve there. so was changed to a carb i had that was not sealed but did not flood. also i have noticed on the bottom of the charger is a hole where i read some where a valve should be, any one know? also what are the differences between a turbo and non turbo carb is it just the sealed dashpot. cheers http://s256.photobucket.com/albums/hh167/boz-reb-2303/

It could be just a case of resealing your turbo carb, the choke seals are notoriuos for leaking as they go brittle with age.
