Meant topost this earlier, in my limited experience ive only seen flat fronted subframe, but when i took this out today it has recessed front mounting points, with loads of shims to take up the gap:





is this an aftermarket subframe? I cant fathom why its front is shaped this way?

also the exhaust (std pea shooter affair) has a lamba boss in, and theres a temperature indicater sticker on the gearbox and block?

do any minis have these sort of things as std? this mini doesnt seem to have been messed with???

Later cars had all this yes.

Recessed mountings and shims are there to "compensate" for the fact the late shells are as straight as Jullian Clarey.

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

i dont think so carl, the mounts arent spaced at all and seem to fit ok?

I thought auto ones were wider
