Hi all. I am thinking of breaking up my engine if there is enough intrest. It cost me £12,000+ to have this built so I would like at least 4 - 5k back to make it worth it. Everything is there exept the head and the block will need a rebore as it had water sitting in the pots for a while so they are now a bit pitted. here is a quick spec off the top of my head:

-1293cc, 4 bold steel center cap deck machined for gp a gasket
-miglia pistons (no turbo)
-arrow rods s size big ends
-s crank
-full roller rockers
-oil filled damper pully
-race alternator
-arp bolts
-alloy rad
-gas flowed standard re-con turbo
-jkd6 speed straight cut dog box with 3.9 semi helical crown wheel+pinion and quife atb diff with equal length drive shaft setup
-roller drop gears
-carb
-manifolds

or if anyone wants to give me 4k for the lot its yours! just the drive train alone is worth that.

its all done next to no miles 500 running is and maybe 100-200 miles of proper use.

I will only sell the other bits if the gearbox sells. I will sell the box with 3.9 semi helical crown wheel+pinion and quife atb diff with equal length drive shaft setup in one because I dont want to dismantle the box!

Cheers, Kev

not after all of it, but would be interested in full roller rockers and alloy rad and race alternator, if you split

Hi sumpnut. I have an ultralight steel flywheel and back plate with paddle plate and grey dyphram. the crank is an en40b steel s crank. its been lightened an ballanced and all the rest of it. cant say much more untill I take it apart. I will only split the other parts if someone buys the gearbox otherwise Ill just be left with a lode of bits. Cheers, Kev

I hate to say it but the block is scrap, as you cannot use bigger than a +20 bore with the group A head gasket if I remember rightly :(

Thanks 4 the intrest every one. I should have put down prices...

-1293cc, 4 bold steel center cap deck machined for gp a gasket (scrap!!)
-miglia pistons (no turbo) these where used as no other pistons were avalable at the time. £150
-arrow rods s size big ends £400
-s crank £400
-oil filled damper pully £100
-race alternator £100
-arp bolts (head)
-alloy rad £100
-gas flowed standard re-con turbo £100
-jkd6 speed straight cut dog box with 3.9 semi helical crown wheel+pinion and quife atb diff with equal length drive shaft setup £3000
-roller drop gears £200

The price for the gear box might seem steep but just the box alone was £3000 crownwheel and pinion was £200 diff about £600 i think and the driveshaft settup is about £300 I think. It would cost over £4000 new and it has done very little milage and you cant even get these 6 speeds anymore as the case is a special jkd casting which is much stronger than the standard one.

I am selling up because I origionally built the car for extreem mighty minis and I cant use the box(must be 4 speed). I also want to build another engine of different spec so it all has to go.

Cheers, Kev

Althogh the block may not be much use in its present condition.....

It may be of use to someone building a sort stroke engine as you could skim the machined bit off the top for the shorter stroke.

under the old miglia regs the pistons would be standard rover fitment. i think its only the latest regs that allow omega pistons

The OE ringed gasket fits +40 according to the MS catalogue I have here.

Bugger off, I'm getting there.

EH? But we are not talking about the OE gasket, we are on about the group A gasket with the double-reinforced fire ring, that comes with a note to the effect that its only good for +20.

I was always under the impression the GpA gasket was ok at +040.

Stu must have pulled the info from the catalogue?
