Hi all. I am thinking of breaking up my engine if there is enough intrest. It cost me £12,000+ to have this built so I would like at least 4 - 5k back to make it worth it. Everything is there exept the head and the block will need a rebore as it had water sitting in the pots for a while so they are now a bit pitted. here is a quick spec off the top of my head:
Its only a bit of metal. If it blows it blows!

not after all of it, but would be interested in full roller rockers and alloy rad and race alternator, if you split |

Hi sumpnut. I have an ultralight steel flywheel and back plate with paddle plate and grey dyphram. the crank is an en40b steel s crank. its been lightened an ballanced and all the rest of it. cant say much more untill I take it apart. I will only split the other parts if someone buys the gearbox otherwise Ill just be left with a lode of bits. Cheers, Kev Its only a bit of metal. If it blows it blows!

I hate to say it but the block is scrap, as you cannot use bigger than a +20 bore with the group A head gasket if I remember rightly :(

under the old miglia regs the pistons would be standard rover fitment. i think its only the latest regs that allow omega pistons |

The OE ringed gasket fits +40 according to the MS catalogue I have here. Bugger off, I'm getting there. |

EH? But we are not talking about the OE gasket, we are on about the group A gasket with the double-reinforced fire ring, that comes with a note to the effect that its only good for +20.

I was always under the impression the GpA gasket was ok at +040.
