allow myself to introduce myself..

i'm spaceboy from ausmini.com,

i have a 1975 leyland mini (clubman)
it has a 1360cc (1100s) engine with small journal crank and cooper S rods, turbo main bearings, ARP bolts and Russell Engineering pistons.
the flywheel is standard, the clutch pressure plate is an orange dot with a new frictionplate.
the whole lot has been completely balanced also.

The remote change gearbox and diff are completely rebuilt with a competition layshaft, centre oil pickup, comp diff pin and the ratio is 3.44, it has hardy spicer unijoints

the head has been mildly ported and polished and converted to unleaded, the combustion chambers and valves remain standard.
it is fitted with double valve springs and 1.5 ratio roller rockers.
its fitted with a decompression plate and turbo gasket. A target of 8 to 1 compression was to cope with up to 12psi.

the cam is a Russel Engineering Turbo cam (RE-13T)

its also fitted with a new oil cooler and minispares 2 core radiator.

induction is provided by a standard HS6 SU from a marina and K&N filter with a custom machined alloy ram tube.

boost is supplied by a toyota sc-12 from an mr2, with a ben afford supercharger kit bolting it up.

its only just hit the road after a long wait, and boost hits around 4-5psi, peaking at 6psi at high rpms.

other features of the car include the 13x6 performance superlite alloys with pirelli tyres, an isotta steering wheel, a 120mph speedo, hi-lo's,
Cooper S 7.5" disc brakes, hilo suspension and pulsar gtiR bucket seats.

much work is yet to be done, including new interior, air conditioning and new paintwork.
further plans include fitting a brake booster from a marina, new stereo system, tinted windows, Nitrous injection and the increase to about 10psi of boost.

i've been waiting a long time for this engine, and a long time to introduce myself here!
