ive gone to start my metro today after it being stood for a while to take it for mot and the car starts fine runs for say 1 min and then cuts out go to the key turn it and it starts straight back up when the cars starts to cut out and you put ur foot down its like its starved of fuel or i dunno it could be the spark thinking could it be the oil presure switch ive tried a few that i had but not sure if they are turbo ones any help much apreciated cheers james |

The oil pressure switch on a metro turbo works the opposite way round to a mini one.If you join the wire to earth it should run,also check the relay behind the passenger side headlight thats for the fuel pump

right just been out and conected the wire to earth still the same what do you guys sugest i try next cheers james |

Have you checked fuel pressure? Is there any oil in the dashpot?

do as tom suggested, then also put the pressure tester back int othe line from the pump to the regulator and with the engien running, clamp(briefly) the return line from the reg, when the problem happens, does this cause the pressre to rise? or does it stay low? if it stays low either the pump is cnackered, or there is a blockage or leak somewhere between the pump and regulator. you could also be drawing in air before the pump, check that pipe.
