Anyone know the rough weight of a bare shell? Shell with front panels but nothing else, no boot/doors/subframes/interior etc etc?

Tried searching to no avail :(

Not a lot, can be lifted by two people easily enough, if that is what you are angling at?

Im not happy with the garage i was gonna rent as it keeps getting targeted, ie. dints already in the boarded up windows.

In worst case scenario, was gonna take the car to bits on the front drive then carry the bodyshell round the back of the house (bit narrow but neighbour would help) sort shell out round the back of the house, then carry back round and build mini back up round front.

sounds a carry on but our backs dead private where the front isnt

can do it that way fine mate, me and my brother (both built like matchsticks) lifted my old shell (full steel including front end, but minus doors bonet and boot) without too much bother.

I'm not sure if it helps or not: but my speedster is 126 Kg no boot or bonnet no paint just primer, but as my all up weight is 465Kg which is only 15Kg lighter than Paul's sprint and they are similar spec, so I would asume Paul's shell is a very similar weight and we know a sprint shell is only about 15Kg lighter after it's been sprinted. So after all that a rough calculation would be about 140Kg for a MK1 shell.

If it a'nt broke don't fix it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

woah!!! that might blow it away

If you building it round the back of the house, just be careful you dont do a carlos fandango and find that you cant get it out once its finished

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.
