well it's an internal pump for a start...

That could be a problem.

the pump on a metro turbo was a 42 psi pump
a jag xj6 has a pump that looks the same from the out side but is 44psi

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

yeah but we only need 4psi max over boost, so say 30psi should do the job easily for all applications.

Yeah only problem i can see is that its internally mounted, not the end of the world though i guess with some thought.

what boost are you running? have you had it RR'd?

It will only become a problem on boost and you should find its leaning out a lot. You risk melting pistons if you keep running this pump, it does not deliver a high enough pressure.

The facet pump will flow fuel fine - but as soon as High boost kicks in it just wont produce enough pressure---GET the real high pressure pump!

RS turbo pump has a stall pressure of nearly 90 psi i recall... Higher than the pumps fitted to cosworths.
A pretty large flowrate aswell - certainly more than we could want for our engines, and almost certianly to much for the regulator - unless the restrictor is added to the supply line.
Only my thoughts - it would work fine, but a conventional fuel pump from an electronic EFI (rather than mechanical) system would be a better bet...

I agree dave..

no one considers the effect of running the std regulator with a different pump. Chances are BL matched the componants!

I wonder what pump the Esprit turbo (the one that ran the twin dellys) used....

That used the same regulator as used on the metros; but must have supplied enough fuel for 200+ hp...

Bolted to the side of the plenum... Think it has 2 outlets (makes sense as there are two potential outlet 'positions' on the std regulator.

I have a picture of it in a book somewhere
