British Gas is owned by centrica who i did a bit of work for not so long ago. people still think that if you have a problem they are the people to call. this is wrong! British gas engineers can only do the same as any Corgi registered plumber but charge alot more. if your problem is before the gas meter you need to call Transco, otherwise any Corgi registered plumber. |

British Gas are utterly useless wankers, unfortunately so are N Power, Yorkshire Electric, PowerGEN, and any of the other showers of buffoons I have had the misfortune to attempt to deal with.

In actual fact it is perfectly legal to do gas installation work in your own home as long as you are competant to do so. How you define "competant to do so" I've no idea.

if you have a gas leak and are concerned you can always call the gas escape number 0800 999 111 (or was it 111 999) I've seen the future and tbh its Pie
