When your fuel return line is too restrictive you can't adjust the pressure as low as you need it. What ID does your feed and return line have? Bimmer Twinky headed and turboed A-Series:

yep, think you'll find that there is too much restriction in the return as Dave found out for our benefit!

what diameter fuel pipe would you suggest to use for the reurn ? |

Should be ok with a restriction but if you want to increase the return then that would work aswell.

on my min i put in 8 mm from the pump to the reg and 10 mm from the reg back to the tank like it is on the metro all worked fine got it down to 3 psi |

I changed to feed 6mm ID and return to 8mmID and can adjust down to 1,5psi now.
