Hi, why is it the small things in this re build are always the bits the piss me off the most?!

i made the mistake of taking the car apart over 2 years ago and not making notes.. now i cant remember how the Brake light switch in pedal box fits back on.

can anyone show me how please? pic or explanation would be great

cheers, Mark.

The switch is NC normally closed, and mounted above the pedal, so that it is constantly pressed, so when the pedal moves, the switch closes.

So if you wire the switch before mounting it, then the brake lights should be on all the time, unless you press the switch.

Hope this helps

Right, that does help thanks Tim, because i was trying to find a mounting spot for it with the switch open not 'pressed'..

but im still unsure where it goes in relation to the pedal box (i now know above the pedal) where are the mounting points for it etc?

Not all pedal boxes ran a switch on the pedal, earlier cars (single line) ran a line pressure switch, it is possible you have one of the older syle pedal boxes with no mounting point!

If you do and you have a split braking system (I hope you do, a safer system) you'll have no choice but to swap out the pedal box for the later (pre servo) type.

Have you got any picture of the pedal box?

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...
