I have lost one of the nuts that holds the the "switch carrier" in the dash, you know the bit that has the choke and the heater pull as well (the nut that holds the braket to the car that is). Does anyone know the thread of it by chance? Every time I pull the choke the whole thing comes out!

Thanks guys!

I'm sure I've successfully used M5 there in the past.

if an m5 fits, then it will probably be a 10/32 or 10 unf thread. I made the mistake at work of doing that. It depends on the age of mini as i know some are half metrificated!

Oh M5 great! I'll hunt around my local nut factors and failing that I may take up your offer Jackman! I was too lazy to take out the other nut to check it out. That's sad isn't it? Thanks guys!
