I got some exhaust wrap off someone, which has no instructions etc.
As ive never used it. what do i use to keep it in place. i thought it would have some sort of sticky tape with it...

stainless wire or jubilee clips will do the job.

i just wrapped it round and tied a clove hitch then trimmed off the end

A good tip to getting it tight is to dampen the wrap, this allows it to be wound on tighter, well worth doing !

stainless tie wraps from merlin motorsport which look like they would be good for CV joints too as they have flat rachet bits.

I got some stainless steel cable ties off ebay to do this with, they weren't overly expensive.

i've heard that you wet it to put it on because, as said above, it allows you to get it tighter and its not as messy, as when its dry its very dusty. is this true??
