Yes just checked my ignition timing and it is 50 degrees. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

50 degrees shouldn't be a problem, so long as it's taken from 20-25 degrees after TDC... On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

Did you disconnect your vacuum advance when you measured your max. ignition advance? Bimmer Twinky headed and turboed A-Series:
