Hello there pimps

I restarted work on my moke today ready for the riviera run:



and unfortunately ive got a bit stuck there as the gear stick is caught in the hole (!) and i cant get the shell any higher without more volunteers. Its an early style gear stick on it like so:



How do i get it out? is it a case of undoing the plate around the stick and then pulling it out? or is there more to it?
Will it dump oil everywhere when i do that?

undo the plate like you said nic and it wont dump the oil out buddy

cheers steve, we actually used some brute force and yoinked the car up a bit higher, but ill take it off to save me falling over it and swearing at it over the winter

jim, your telling me its full, you can get to anything in there at the minute, the moke was being used as storage but that all needs a new home now.
The van isnt going anywhere, but how about a 'lovely' 205gti in miami blue, ill even chuck in a spare carpet...

i cant bare to lose money on it

id rather annoy my dad by keeping it on the drive until it reaches classic status and a crap gti shell will donate to the retirement fund
