Is this even possible? if so, who fancies the job? I would also like a diagonal welded in the rear, as it doesnt currently have one.

The cage is a Rollcenter 6 point bolt in jobby

Ok then, who can weld in the thick plates that they bolt on to?

Normally those thick plates are "washers" that fit the other side of the floor pan to the feet....

again ask rollcentre :)

I added patches as well to mine, but then again mines going racing one day!

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

you want 3mm thick plates do a la frog to make it a proper job.

Washers arent really worth doing i'd say!

if it was round here id recommended the same bloke as he does a neat job.

as far as i'm aware, you won't need to weld those plates on, bolting them through the cage>body>plate should be fine. I think they are just there for load spreading.

In the past I have bonded the plates on with stikaflex to stop them moving if you have to unbolt the cage and also stop the water getting between them and the shell.

Most of the bolt in cages can be fitted with the spreader plates bolted up from the outside.

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

I hope you used some bolts as well.

I reckon my cage will fail scrutineering, if you stick it in with stikaflex.

Edited my original post just in case some pedantic government type comes along and pointed out an extra word might help avoid confusion!
