Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

I'm looking at taking Nicci to New York just before christmas as we havent had chance to get a holiday in this summer.

was wondering if anyone had any good recomendations (cant spell that bloody word!!) around the $300 a night mark, less is obviously better if its still nice.

I stopped in New Jersey on the side of the Hudson river when i went. it was good as the PATH train went straight in but i think it stops at 11/12 so not really good for later on when we'd want to be wandering round looking at the sights.

cheers! *happy*

Ive stayed here its called Astor on the Park. If you look at a map of NewYork look at Central Park then look at the left hand side half way up. Its about there. Its Accomodation only but its really cheap and in a nice place

I think Embassy suites comes in at the top end of your price range, I've not stayed in the one in New York but work have put me up in the ones in DC a couple of times and are pretty reasonable although they might be a bit too business focused for what you want.

Sheraton tower its on time square right in the middle and its fairly cheap.

Stayed there a few times, and oh they have the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed. You will not want to get out of it.

Embassy suites are fantastic. We stayed in NJ and just caught the train into New York which isn't the best idea but we got the hotel free!

me and my girlfriend went to NY over new year this year, we stayed at the roosevelt hotel in midtown, it is around the $300 a night mark, its a nice hotel, really grand hotel and only around the corner from the chrysler building, about 10 mins walk to times square, right next to 5th avenue basically. we walked everywhere from there, even down to wall street! i would reccomend it.

Sunny Southern California, USA

December is very expensive in NYC. People are visiting the city from all over the US and world to see the Christmas stuff.

I used to live about an hours drive from there, so I can't give any good hotel recommendations (because I used to just visit for the day). But I can say that the holiday season is very busy in the city. The streets will be packed and things will be a bit crazy. The weather can be very snowy and very cold as well (0 C and lower).
