i know some people have mentioned this before, but i cant find the posts, (sorry)
avonbar recomend drilling new holes in the subframe just forward of the original ones (but only if your car is not an injection model) this all sounds a bit potchy is it really necessary ?
and is really necessary buy new engine steadys cant i just use all the original stuff from my cooper ?

I have run my engine on the standard holes with no probs - wouldnt bother moving it forwards as its tight enough at the front anyway

You'll end up running a T2 and a intercooler, so don't bother re-drilling!

Yeah space at the front is much better than at the back. there is plenty of room with correct bulkhead mods with std hole mounts.

what about extra engine steadys are they necessary? can i just use the ones i got with my cooper engine ?

extra engine steadies are worth while, you need to make your own bracket for the thermostat side as you cut out the mounting bolts when you put the bulkhead box in
