Hi

Do you guys have any tips on how to get the diff bearings of my EVO lsd? they were not this stuck last time I had it apart, but now I am having real troubles getting them off... both bearings have split, so its only the inner race left on there. I have tried heating the races by welding on them but have had no luck getting them off.

careful grinding....

Heat usually works but if its not you'll have to cut them off,

Drill a small hole through in two opposie positions (probably need a carbide drill), grind slots nearly all the way through crossing the holes a breaking out on both front and rear side of the race, hit with sharp cold chisle and heavy hammer ...... pick pieces up from floor!

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

they are right down on the face of the diff, no room at all.as I wrote earlier the outer races are off.

Weld a few lumps of metal onto them (nuts, bolts whatever) and use these to pull them off, or to lever them against.

im certain quaife and jkd diffs have cut-outs so puller legs (or screwdrivers!) can get round the back of the inner race

no they have not. I ended up welding a plate with a hole in the middle onto the bearing. and then I used a puller on the plate. was a bugger to get off!
