I've just found my clutch problem, the ball on the end is bending, so when set the clutch works for a while, the progressively becomes worse. |

Yes i had the same problem for years untill i tryed a Gen rover one. Does the trick, try and get a gen plunger to as it won't wear as quick. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

Yeah, I have a pattern arm next to me at the office. It held for about 15 seconds, I pressed the pedal 5 times, the sixth broke the arm in two pieces. It cracked next to the ball. The fracture surface shows that there are darker marks at the circumference, meaning that the cracks were present when the arm was heat treated. I have a genuine arm in the garage, but an old Austin 1300 is currently fitted and holds. |

Tried the arm from the Janspeed engine last night, did about 40 miles & it's still working fine. So it's looking good at the mo ...
