Not the great event i thought it would be, there was plenty on and plenty to see but i could not find any programs or times for races ect so you just did not know what was going on, sorry pics are poor it seemed that any of the proper areas where i could get some decent photos were for VIP's only

I was there to, the timings for the races were in the wallet the tickets came in.

Got fed up with queuing to get in and then out again, wont go again.

That R5 turbo 2 thingy was great, realy giving it some tail out on the exhibition laps.

We saw the traffic queues on the M1 as we headed down to stanford hall. Wouldn't like to be trying to get the airport!

I went to this on saturday and thought it was ok! Not as good as it was a couple of years ago! Did you not get a free radio and program on the way in? looking at the program there was more on display on saturday!

I went on Saturday. Event list came with the tickets, free radio giving race commentry was given at the gate.
Had a 30 min wait in traffic (not too bad)
Mainly practice but some racing, which was good.
Had a good look at 3 alpine's, the early fiberglass one's. They were fantastic, I wan't one desperatly but probably can't afford one. I remember three alpines at a hillclimb at Olivers Mount in 1995. I was in the same class as one of them with my 1293 mini, he beat me into second place by 0.01 sec. I later found out it was a 1600 entered in the 1400 class (cheating bastard)
The 3.0 litre Meganes were fantastic, half the field ran out of fuel in the last couple of laps, they raced for 40mins plus 1 lap. They had calculated the required fuel based on the warm weather on Friday and because Saturday was much cooler the more dense air required more fuel and they cocked up by up to 2 lap's worth of fuel.
Hard to believe but true.
All in all we had a great day out, Thank You Renault.
On the way home I saw Huddersfield Mini Spares heading south. More wheels and seats no doubt.
F1 cars old and new were good, last years F1 was treated too gently but made a fabulous sound.
Looking forward to next year.

i just got back from donington, had a good day, especially as it was free! we didn't really get caught up in too much traffic, must have just missed it all..

I went satdy, to be honest i wastnt that impressed, it was just too busy!

Well free events do attract the people! I went to Silverstone for the Britcar 24 hours and had a whale of a time. A load of mates were up there running the John Player lotus's and said it was packed!!

i was at donnington too on sunday. i saw the queues on the motorway, luckly our sat nav sent us round the back, no queues! it wasn't bad for a free event.

nice photos mate, i went to that as well on the sat was a good day, i'll post some of mine up when i can.
