it must go further to the right yes, there is something wrong, or you have not managed to get it fully engaged. |

stick something (screwdriver or whatever) in the hole in the shifter thingy (sorry I dont know the name) that comes out of the diff. That will give you a bit more leverage to twist/push/pull. |

You know the 3rd and 4th hub thing, it has little 3 detent bearings and springs ... just got em all back it :) anyway. so for some reason, it pushed the hub to far over ? maybe when connected to the rod and gear change, it might not do this ? any idea.

Bearings pop out? You mean the balls and springs, is that what you're saying. Bearings is something completely different.

Those ball bearings having given me more grief than something that gives you alot of grief from past experiences, 1 millesecond results in you being on your hands and knees for the next 2 1/2 hours looking for them! |

Im joking around rich1275 :) I round an easy way to do this.. But not telling ya lol I just placed the springs in, then rested the BALLS on the edges, then with 3 fingers, pushed the balls in slightley, then pushed the hole hub in the sleeve.. was easy when u know how.. :)
