well this wasnt a lot of fun ,it weighs 2300 lbs according to the net ,and it is now on the ground and no one got crushed ..... it was touch and go for a while ....now got to get the mill off the same trailer tomorrow ...eeek

durham area

When i drought my mill and lathe home i built up some scafolding to get it off the trailer then rolled it int the garage on scofold tubes didnt help that it was all up hill, hope your not trying to get it in that side door LOL.

we hat an old mitford one big sucker, but we stripped it down and then rebuilt it where we wanted it, may sound long winded but it was 4 times quicker and safer on the back that brute force *wink*

well got the lathe on the ground and rolling so yep its going in the dining room !!
and now got to get the mill off the 25 inch high deck of that bloody trailer .mmmm thats going to be fun .... high centre of gravity anyone !

this brings back bad memories of when we moved my dads mill (48" bed) and lathe up the garden. The lathe ended up in the pond, i kid you not, and the mill was dismantled and taken up in small pieces. NOT FUN.

dont worry andeh , after this task i can well imagine that , i dont know how many times people ran for cover , specially getting the mill on the trailer with two planks
