de-locking, doddle, buy the maplins alarm + remote central locking kit. put the servo in the bottom of the door and run a suitable bar up which pivots and secured to the door lock.

then find some way to block the "lock" on the handle.

de-handling, bit more involved, but iv done it. Use it every day and its never failed once.Had a mechanical backup when fitted to my old mini, but havnt bothered now, as theres no need! basically buy the afore mentioned alarm, and 2 2-wire central locking servo's wire the servos up through the imobaliser such that when the alarm is armed your hidden switch on the outside of teh car is not active.

again place the servo in the bottom of the door and run suitable rod up to pop the door open. Tehres a good bit of engineering required to get everything to work nicely, hard to explain but il take pics next time i have the door card off. :)

basic mechanism...

what isnt shown here was my remote mechanical mechanism to open the door in teh even t of a flat battery, the extra return spring to aid reliability, modifications to the door card to clear the arm, and the mechanism to allow the origional mini handle to open the door(this had to be disconected because its own internal return spring was to strong for the servo to overcome :( ) basically, it now acts pushing on the origional arm when you pull the handle, but when the handle is released, the servo can lmove the lock mecnasm independant of the handle.. if you knwo what i meen! (pics say a thousand words, realy should get some.)

if you wana test this for yourself you can buy jsut the servo, circa ?10. once you get it its quite self explanitery :)

Finished example.

p.s. that was thrown together on a spare door as a proof of concept :) i also cut a hole in the finished door in the bottom right hand corner to alow ajsutment to the throw of the mechansim.
