what cc is this???

hi,

im trying to work out what somones cc in there head is.

its a 1380cc mini and the pistons are set 2.58mm down the bores.

what cc is there inbetween the piston crown and the top of the block in one cylinder.

i know the calculation for the rest!

for deck volume

cross sectional area * height

stick with cm so cc's are easier to calculate

(((7.35/4)^2)pi)*0.258=cc

i havent got a calc to hand...

this doesnt include dish volume btw

Nearly 11cc, pie x r squared x hight, r being radius of bore in cm and hight in cm.

2.58 deck height is alot, i think my 1380 runs 20 thou (about half a mm)

yer i was trying to work out what cc the chambers are in a turbo head on ebay.

iv worked it out to be standerd 21cc.

he says it had 8.5:1 cr

and its got:

1380cc block
11cc dish pistons
10.941cc piston to top of block
2.8cc head gasket (at a geuss)
and i think 21cc chambers makes 8.5:1cr by my calcs!!
